Local photographer Kathie Thomas will discuss her photographic pursuits in the Yarra Ranges and beyond, sharing tips and tricks. Her interests include birds and garden subjects.

Kathie Thomas has a Diploma in Photography (Professional Photography) and has won many local competitions and awards for her nature photography. She has twice been commended in Australia's Photography Nature Photographer of the Year competitions.

Kathie's main passion is birds, and she is an ethical birder. She takes photos of wild birds without baiting with food or calls, and avoids using flash photography.
