Astrophotography Workshop

For the March 2 workshop, we had two visitors from the Mount Burnett Observatory, Neil Creek and Jeff Shrowder. Jeff started off the evening by showing that you don’t need fancy equipment to take night photography. Using just a $50 webcam, Jeff’s shots of the surface of the moon through a telescope were amazing! Neil’s presentation detailed how to take night sky images, selecting good dark locations in Victoria, the equipment used, and some post processing tips. His selection of images were wonderful, including some stunning shots of nebulae that are hundreds of millions of miles away. A big than you to both men for an entertaining and informative workshop.
